Because of the potential side effects of the medicines Iimi takes, she needs to see a psychiatrist before increasing the dosage. But both Thea and the psychiatrist realize they must get to the root causes. Meanwhile, Iimi is suspicious of psychiatry being “anti-religion.” Ultimately, she has to ask: is her condition something that comes from freely serving God? Or has she instead fallen into… A Spirit of Slavery?

It’s Iimi! Dam it All!
A double-length issue. The pressures to defend the faith continue as always. Iimi presses onward despite the stress. But when emotions get pushed back, there will be a breaking point if you try to… Dam it All!
While it isn’t mentioned in the comic (I work about a month ahead of the publishing date), Benedict XVI passed away on December 31st, two days before this comic was published. Even before he became Pope, I had great admiration for him: his writings had a strong influence on my theological studies. Please keep him in your prayers.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Post-Comic notes:
For the scrupulous, no, I didn't take the Lord's name in vain under the "censored" mark. The mark was there to hide the fact that it was gibberish underneath.
