It’s Iimi! Habemus Papam!

On May 8th, the conclave announced Cardinal Robert Prevost's election as Pope Leo XIV. Iimi and her friends reflect on this and the attacks that are beginning to arise.

Pre-Comic Notes:
It was a scramble to find out information about Leo XIV to create this short comic. I had never heard of Cardinal Prevost before the announcement of his election. Of course, I had never heard of Cardinal Bergoglio before he became Pope Francis, either.

Post-Comic Notes:

This will be a turning point in my comic. While my blogging days were spent defending St. John Paul II (posthumously), Benedict XVI, and Pope Francis, the comic was entirely within Pope Francis's pontificate. So, dealing with a new Pope will involve new situations. But, as Iimi pointed out, “I don’t know what kind of difficulties we’ll face. But I’m not afraid of Leo XIV being Pope.”

So, we’ll see how the comic advances under Leo XIV. Whether I have to defend him from the “left” or the “right,” I don’t know. But I’m sure attacks will come from somewhere. And the comic will continue as long as God allows.

God bless you all. Remember to pray for Pope Leo XIV.
