The girls return to school, expecting the usual tedium of the day-to-day school life. But one of the teachers has a plan. At the end of the day, they’ll find their lives have been… Disrupted
Post-Comic
Notes:
And so
another teacher gets a makeover. The original model for Barbara Celarent made
for some good “Irate teacher” expressions. Still, it was clunky and often in a
different resolution from the other characters.
The central premise of the plot took some major reshuffling once I discovered the facts about the census archives before 1940. It wasn’t laid out in a neat summary (scans of paper documents were scanned and uploaded), and back in the 1890s, Hispanics were classified as white. So, the preliminary information (a significant drop in a population demographic) that I expected to take a few lines of dialogue suddenly had to become an investigation in itself while forcing a shift in the town's history.
